Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager with expertise in banking to join our Sydney office. This senior role involves shaping and driving product development to deliver advanced digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert strategic roadmap objectives into detailed features, requirements, and user stories aligned with business goals.
• Lead thorough analysis for defining both functional and non-functional requirements, including business rules and customer journey mapping.
• Own and prioritize the product squad backlog consistent with roadmap priorities.
• Ensure comprehensive understanding and clear definition of requirements to support effective engineering implementation.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams, tech leads, and architects to develop frontend solutions and requirements.
• Grasp technical architecture, system integrations, data flows, and platform interdependencies.
• Identify early technical constraints, risks, and inter-team dependencies during the delivery process.
• Balance customer experience, technical complexity, and delivery resource allocation through informed trade-offs.
• Manage backlog refinement and oversee delivery through to successful implementation.
• Coordinate dependencies across frontend, backend, and platform teams to ensure smooth delivery.
• Proactively detect and mitigate delivery risks or obstacles.
• Engage cross-functionally with Product, Design, Engineering, and Architecture to maintain strategic alignment.

Required Expertise

• Demonstrated strong skills in product analysis and defining comprehensive requirements.
• Proven track record of delivering complex digital products successfully.
• Technically proficient in frontend technologies, APIs, system integrations, and contemporary application architecture.
• Deep understanding of technical designs, dependencies, and engineering constraints.
• Experience partnering effectively with engineering teams to develop and refine product solutions.
• Skilled in Agile practices including delivery management, backlog refinement, and prioritization.
• Excellent stakeholder management capabilities with cross-functional leadership experience.
• Ability to balance customer needs with technical considerations and project complexities.
