Role Overview
The Senior Product Manager will play a crucial role enabling Kami to build and deliver features that delight customers. You will excel in identifying user pain points, uncovering market opportunities, and utilizing data analytics to assess product performance and impact.
You will serve as the essential liaison across teams including product marketing, UX/UI design, and engineering, ensuring cohesive collaboration for effective product development and release.
This position is based in our recently updated Auckland office with a hybrid work schedule: mandatory in-office presence on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with remote work on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and own the product strategy by focusing on customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape to guide product priorities.
- Convert requirements into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable success indicators.
- Balance user experience, technical possibilities, and business objectives to deliver impactful solutions.
- Manage and prioritize the product backlog to reflect evolving market conditions and business goals.
- Oversee product delivery process from strategy execution to release, handling obstacles and risks to adhere to timelines.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product marketing, design, and engineering to define challenges, scope solutions, and specify feature requirements.
- Facilitate team delivery rhythms and communication between stakeholders regarding product progress and metrics.
- Support sales, marketing, and customer service teams through training and product knowledge sharing.
- Coordinate product launches, develop go-to-market plans, and produce supportive marketing materials.
- Monitor user feedback and product performance post-launch to continuously improve the product.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 7 years of product management/ownership experience in SaaS or educational technology sectors.
- Solid understanding of user experience design, accessibility, and strategies for growing B2C and B2B products.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering products with strong adherence to product management best practices.
- Customer-focused mindset dedicated to exceptional user experience delivery.
- Capability to think strategically while executing plans methodically.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build strong relationships.
- Aptitude to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving work environment.
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and enjoyable to collaborate with.
