About Fin
Fin is a leading AI Customer Agent company aiming to help businesses deliver flawless customer experiences. Our AI agent, Fin, stands as the market's top-performing AI Customer Agent, offering seamless, 24/7 customer support throughout the full journey—from service inquiries to sales and ecommerce. Powered by proprietary AI technology, Fin handles complex customer issues end-to-end across multiple channels, with minimal setup and integration. It also integrates natively with the Intercom help desk for a unified support platform for modern teams.
Founded in 2011, Fin is among the fastest-growing and largest private software firms globally, serving nearly 30,000 companies worldwide that rely on our tools to transform customer support. Guided by our core values, we innovate rapidly, maintain high intensity in delivery, and relentlessly create valuable solutions for customers.
Role Overview
We seek Senior Product Engineers to join our AI Group to develop Fin's AI-driven product offerings. These engineers collaborate closely with both ML scientists and product teams, possessing deep understanding of our product, customers, machine learning stack, and overall technology ecosystem. The team is responsible for defining new ML features, researching suitable techniques and algorithms, and quickly delivering prototypes to customers.
Our team emphasizes product focus, working tightly with Product and Design functions to enhance AI product experiences. Engineers in this group enable rapid deployment to production, often shipping beta releases within weeks of successful offline tests.
We enthusiastically apply machine learning technology, having productized solutions from standard supervised models to advanced unsupervised clustering and innovative transformer neural network applications. We prioritize measuring the actual impact of every model in use.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop systems that underpin Fin’s flagship AI products, primarily utilizing our ML Python stack and occasionally the Rails application.
- Collaborate with ML Scientists to transform proof-of-concept code into robust, scalable production-ready solutions.
- Work alongside product teams beyond the AI group to design the most effective AI-enhanced product experiences for customers.
- Participate in all software lifecycle stages—ideation, prototyping, implementation, and testing.
- Contribute actively to hiring, mentoring, and supporting career growth of fellow engineers.
- Elevate technical standards across the team and company in performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 5 years of experience delivering high-quality software products.
- Hands-on machine learning experience is not mandatory; strong software engineering expertise is valued, with opportunities to learn ML on the job.
- Proven ability to generate significant impact through your prior work.
- Strong technical fundamentals, eagerness to learn, and commitment to personal development.
- Expertise in a high-level programming language such as Ruby, Python, or JavaScript, though not necessarily one used at Fin.
- Determination to advocate for the best outcomes.
- Preference for progress over perfection.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Desirable Skills
- Experience in data analytics or statistical roles.
