Role Overview

The Senior Product Designer will contribute to OKX's centralized exchange (CEX) design efforts across various product areas including Manual Trading, Trading Strategy, Social & VIP, Growth, and Institutional products. This role demands designing for complex, fast-paced financial interfaces, collaborating closely with product, engineering, research, and data teams, and influencing user experience across the product lifecycle.

Your Responsibilities

• Create intuitive and reliable user experiences for complex, data-heavy digital financial products.
• Translate customer insights, product strategy, business objectives, and technical limitations into seamless user journeys and detailed interaction designs.
• Lead the entire design process from problem definition, exploration, prototyping, to delivery, validation, and iteration.
• Develop wireframes, user flows, information architecture, prototypes, and final designs with strong interaction quality and visual craftsmanship.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate trade-offs, clarify uncertainties, and ensure smooth implementation from concept to launch.
• Leverage qualitative research, analytics, experimentation, and market insights to guide and refine design decisions.
• Present design rationale clearly, incorporate feedback, and contribute to consistent, scalable design experiences across various platforms and markets.
• Enhance design standards, teamwork, and customer-focused decision-making organization-wide.
• At more senior levels, shape product and design direction, lead cross-functional initiatives, and elevate design quality across teams.

• Manual Trading: Design solutions for market discovery, information analysis, trade management, and position understanding.
• Trading Strategy: Develop tools enabling users to create, explore, evaluate, and manage trading strategies.
• Social & VIP: Craft unique experiences for social trading, communities, creators, and premium customers.
• Growth: Improve customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and cross-product interactions.
• Institutional: Design efficient, sophisticated, and reliable products for professional and institutional clients.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in designing and delivering digital products, evaluated by scope, complexity, independence, and impact.
• A portfolio demonstrating problem framing, exploration, decision-making, interaction design, and outcome evaluation beyond finished screens.
• Strong product mindset connecting user needs with business and technical constraints.
• Expertise in interaction design and information architecture for complex workflows and data-rich interfaces.
• High attention to detail and visual design quality.
• Collaborative experience working closely with product and engineering teams through the development lifecycle.
• Ability to clearly communicate and justify design decisions and build alignment with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity, shifting priorities, and incomplete information.
• Self-motivation and ownership to drive ideas to delivered experiences.
• Genuine interest in centralized exchange products and their user base.

Preferred Additional Experience

• Knowledge of trading, investment, fintech, cryptocurrency, or complex financial product design.
• Experience with data-intensive tools, professional marketplaces, or critical customer journeys.
• Using research, experimentation, and analytics to inform design decisions.
• Designing for diverse markets, regulatory environments, languages, and cultures.
• Contributing to mature design systems across multiple platforms.
• Leadership in mentoring designers, guiding cross-team efforts, or raising design quality broadly at senior or staff level.
