Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Privacy Manager to join our Global Privacy & AI Governance team. Reporting directly to the Global Head of Privacy & AI Governance, this role will lead the Privacy Operations function and manage key aspects of our privacy and AI governance across numerous studios. The position involves collaborating globally to ensure the highest standards in data protection and responsible AI usage, with the flexibility to operate remotely from the UK or EU.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in developing and implementing the Global Privacy & AI Governance Framework and deputize for the Global Head as needed.
  • Manage and mentor the Privacy Operations team, overseeing daily operations, workflow efficiency, and service-level agreements.
  • Lead Privacy by Design initiatives and AI governance in products and services, executing Data Protection Impact Assessments, AI Impact Assessments, and software reviews.
  • Conduct Transfer Impact Assessments and Legitimate Interest Assessments to ensure lawful data transfers globally.
  • Independently advise on complex privacy and AI compliance issues, managing risk life cycles and responding to operational inquiries.
  • Oversee data subject request handling and manage incident response activities including containment, investigation, and remediation.
  • Monitor global data protection and AI regulatory changes, perform gap analyses on new legislation, and contribute to consultations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, IT, AI Strategy, and Information Security teams for aligned privacy and AI practices.
  • Build and maintain relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders to foster privacy and AI initiatives.
  • Lead organizational privacy and AI education and awareness programs for all employees.

Candidate Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience in privacy management.
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
  • Proven leadership and mentorship capabilities for junior staff.
  • Strong focus on risk-based, efficient project delivery.
  • Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or AIGP are advantageous.
  • Comprehensive expertise in GDPR and other international privacy laws.
  • Working knowledge of the EU AI Act and related AI regulations, with technical insight into AI systems and associated risks.
  • Experience engaging with executive-level stakeholders and involvement in cross-functional projects.
  • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex privacy and AI topics clearly.
  • Critical thinker with capability to optimize workflows and adapt quickly to evolving policies.
  • Willingness to travel if necessary.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with competing demands.

Additional Information

This is a permanent, full-time position within the Privacy and AI Governance area, supporting the video games service line. Work arrangements are flexible with the option for hybrid or fully remote setups within the UK or EU. The role requires close coordination with global teams and leadership across Keywords Studios' expansive international presence.
