Job Overview

The Senior Pricing Analyst role focuses on creating, analyzing, and maintaining pricing structures that are both competitive and commercially sound to drive business expansion and profitability.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Sales team to formulate pricing strategies, draft quotations, estimates, and commercial proposals for negotiation and contract purposes.
  • Manage spot pricing in alignment with customer demands, cost data, market trends, and company pricing policies.
  • Design and administer pricing propositions for both prospective and existing clients.
  • Examine customer needs, shipment details, volume data, service prerequisites, and costs to develop effective pricing plans.
  • Assist Sales in negotiations by supplying detailed pricing analyses, cost components, and commercial insights.
  • Coordinate tender and RFQ activities including pre-qualification for clients, drafting tender documents, submitting pricing quotes, and ensuring timely proposal delivery.
  • Review tender criteria and collaborate with Sales, Operations, Finance, Legal, and other functions to satisfy technical, commercial, and compliance conditions.
  • Track proposals, spot quotes, and tender processes and maintain communication with clients on their progress.
  • Create dashboards and detailed reports to support commercial decisions and management oversight.
  • Spot pricing patterns, uncover business opportunities, and highlight risks to aid commercial growth and profitability.
  • Ensure all pricing actions adhere to company policies, approvals, and guidelines.
  • Carry out additional tasks or projects assigned by Department leadership as required.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing, or supply chain solutions.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a similar industry role.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business insight.
  • Detail-conscious with analytical skills.
  • Competent in decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Skilled in interpreting complex data and generating actionable advice.
  • Proficient in stakeholder communication and relationship management.
  • Capable of working effectively under pressure and handling multiple tasks concurrently.
