Role Overview
An opening exists within the Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Group (CAMG) for a seasoned Senior Planner. This position oversees both short-term and long-term maintenance planning for the PNG Air fleet, ensuring work packs are meticulously prepared and delivered to the Maintenance Repair Organization (MRO) by set KPIs.
Key Responsibilities
- Project and forecast short and long-term aircraft maintenance needs, particularly critical parts and rotables.
- Advance requisition of critical spare parts and rotables according to KPIs.
- Compile and provide work packs to the MRO as scheduled, meeting KPI deadlines.
- Coordinate requisition of parts and consumables coinciding with work pack deliveries.
- Support technical record processing to avoid backlog, in coordination with the Manager Technical Records & Planning.
- Manage all short and long-term maintenance planning and provide supervision.
- Ensure ATR 72-600 and ATR 42-600 maintenance checks comply with CAMM manual timelines.
- Ensure Dash-8 checks conform to CAMM manual schedules and deadlines.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of forecasts against utilization rates.
- Maintain monthly updates of pre-load listings in work packs to optimize parts utilization.
- Ensure requisitioning of parts and consumables meets KPIs for ATR and Dash-8 aircraft.
- Oversee and track deferrals meticulously, adhering to KPI standards.
Qualifications and Desired Attributes
- Relevant qualifications and a solid track record in a similar role are essential.
- Preferred candidates possess IAS and RAAS training and experience.
- Minimum of five years in technical records or maintenance planning, including at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong computer literacy is mandatory.
- Familiarity with Civil Aviation Regulations (CAR) Parts 91, 43, 119, 121, and 125.
- Physical fitness is a prerequisite.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for effective teamwork and customer engagement.
