Overview
We are seeking an experienced payroll professional to join as a Senior Payroll Analyst, supporting payroll operations across several countries. This role demands expertise in handling complex payroll scenarios, leading projects tied to mergers, acquisitions and geographic expansion, and ensuring compliance and accuracy in payroll services. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and a commitment to process excellence that enhances the employee experience and global business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter expert for payroll for designated countries
- Lead payroll-related components during mergers, acquisitions, and company expansion initiatives
- Design and deploy effective control frameworks to maintain data integrity
- Ensure payroll compliance adhering to local tax, labor, social security, and other statutory requirements
- Create detailed technical documentation and build knowledge repositories
- Drive initiatives to improve payroll processes from start to finish
- Perform root cause analysis on complex payroll challenges and develop scalable preventative solutions
- Analyze financial data to support strategic decision-making and optimize operational effectiveness
- Manage relationships and collaborate with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members
Qualifications
- Experience in payroll operations and customer service
- Fluent in English (written and spoken); proficiency in German is preferred
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
- Adept in navigating fast-paced and ambiguous environments
- Proven abilities in stakeholder communication and management
- Strong background in process improvement methodologies
- Extensive knowledge of controllership and statutory compliance including tax, labor laws, social security, garnishments, pensions, benefits, and terminations
- Competence in leading complex data analyses to guide fact-based decisions
- Proven track record of identifying root causes of issues and implementing preventive measures on a broad scale
- Preferred: experience managing large projects and working in cross-functional teams
