Senior Officer, Delivery

Role Overview

This role involves designing, managing, and delivering secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-based solutions on major public cloud platforms. It supports enterprise-wide cloud transformation by developing architecture strategies, managing migration and modernization projects, establishing cloud operating environments, and driving DevOps methodologies to ensure secure and automated delivery aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Create comprehensive cloud architectures for enterprise applications and cloud-native workloads across Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Lead organizational initiatives involving cloud migration and modernization using established best practices and structured frameworks.
• Define and enforce cloud landing zones to satisfy governance, compliance, security, and operational standards.
• Prepare for operational continuity through monitoring, logging, observability, disaster recovery, and reliability measures.
• Work alongside engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code concepts using tools like Terraform or similar automation solutions.
• Facilitate adoption of DevOps and platform engineering practices, incorporating CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Develop cloud architecture strategies that align with business objectives and technology roadmaps, recommending various migration tactics such as rehost, replatform, refactor, rebuild, or replacement based on needs.
• Evaluate and propose scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud designs while contributing to cloud adoption and modernization planning.
• Design and deploy cloud infrastructure leveraging cloud-native services and automation technologies, creating reusable architecture patterns, standards, and deployment frameworks.
• Advocate for DevOps, DevSecOps, containerization, and automation best practices across projects, continuously enhancing cloud platforms and infrastructure capabilities.
• Provide technical and architectural leadership throughout cloud migration and transformation efforts, partnering with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, and DevOps teams.
• Support sales efforts by leading architecture workshops, creating solution designs, and preparing technical proposals.
• Engage with clients, cloud vendors, and technology partners to ensure cloud solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Ensure all cloud solutions meet governance, security, regulatory compliance, and enterprise design standards, embedding IAM, security controls, and resilience into architectures.

• Collaborate with internal teams including Cloud Engineering & DevOps, Infrastructure, Information Security, Sales & Pre-Sales, Enterprise Architecture, and Project Management.
• Engage externally with customers, cloud service providers (Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure), technology partners, and vendors.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.

Certifications Preferred

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect (optional).
• HashiCorp Terraform Associate (optional).
• Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD (optional).
• Other relevant DevOps or cloud engineering certifications are advantageous.

Experience

• At least 6 years in cloud architecture, cloud consulting, infrastructure engineering, or related fields.
• Proven leadership in managing enterprise-level cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Practical experience with public cloud services, DevOps methods, Infrastructure as Code (notably Terraform), containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
