Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Position Overview

We are looking for a diligent and seasoned Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to spearhead the design, implementation, management, and security of our enterprise IT infrastructure. The role demands ensuring a secure, resilient, and efficient IT environment spanning on-premises and cloud services, vital to supporting business-critical applications and operations.

Primary Responsibilities

• Architect, deploy, and sustain enterprise network setups leveraging Cisco and Huawei technologies, covering LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and SD-WAN components.
• Oversee and fine-tune network, server, and cloud infrastructures, including Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms.
• Administer and safeguard Fortinet firewall systems, VPNs, network segmentation, IDS/IPS, and ancillary network security mechanisms.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, manage penetration testing efforts, and lead response strategies to bolster cybersecurity defenses.
• Track infrastructure health, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and operational continuity.
• Create and update network schematics, technical guides, standards, and operational workflows.
• Drive infrastructure upgrade initiatives and mentor junior team members with technical expertise.
• Coordinate with application, cybersecurity, and business units to provision trustworthy, scalable, and secure IT services.
• Assess new technology trends and suggest enhancements to optimize infrastructure performance and security safeguards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, or related disciplines.
• At least 7 years of proven experience managing enterprise network and infrastructure systems.
• Hands-on proficiency with Cisco and Huawei networking technologies.
• Demonstrated expertise managing Fortinet firewall products and comprehensive enterprise network security frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of routing, switching, wireless networking, VPN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and overarching network security principles.
• Experienced with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, hybrid IT environments, virtualization technologies (VMware or Hyper-V), alongside backup and disaster recovery procedures.
• Practical knowledge supporting SAP S/4HANA from an infrastructure and connectivity standpoint.
• Exposure to vulnerability management processes, penetration test coordination, and infrastructure security enhancements.
• Familiarity with enterprise ERP systems is an added advantage.
• PowerShell or Python scripting abilities are beneficial.

Certifications (Preferred)

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or CCNP Security certifications.
• Huawei HCIP or HCIE certifications.
• Fortinet NSE or FCSS qualifications.
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect certifications.
• Security credentials such as CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
