Job description
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our team in Gandhinagar. This role focuses on critical production support within financial systems, requiring proficient skills in PowerShell scripting, Linux administration, and IT Service Management (ITSM) for incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute essential End-of-Day (EOD) and Beginning-of-Day (BOD) batch processing during night shifts.
- Conduct system health checks, perform database backups, and validate system readiness prior to market openings.
- Respond promptly to production incidents using ITSM ticketing tools, ensuring compliance with severity levels and SLA timelines.
- Analyze logs for escalations of complex bugs to development teams.
- Troubleshoot issues causing batch process failures and safely restart operations when needed.
- Utilize command-line tools to parse logs and manage processes effectively.
- Develop, modify, and execute Bash and Shell scripts for automation and troubleshooting tasks.
- Oversee release deployments in mock and pre-production environments with testing and developer collaboration.
- Provide dedicated application support to resolve issues alongside QA and development teams.
- Prepare and disseminate hourly data center (DC) production checklists through email communication.
- Participate in daily scrum calls with the security team to address and accelerate resolution of security-related issues.
- Support testing activities at Disaster Recovery (DR) sites and assist in DC production file generation for EOD procedures as required.
- Perform daily synchronization between DC and DR for front-end and back-end files and generate related reports.
- Offer specialized support for in-house CMR peck margin processes and the generation of CMR files.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field such as B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering.
- 3-4 years of relevant experience managing financial critical system operations within exchange, clearing corporation, or banking environments.
- Strong expertise in PowerShell scripting, Linux systems, and handling production support incidents via ITSM platforms.
- Experience with incident management, troubleshooting, log analysis, and batch process management.
- Competent in writing and executing Bash and Shell script solutions for automation and problem resolution.
- Ability to coordinate with security teams and development units for issue resolution and release deployments.

Location: Gandhinagar (Gift City). Immediate joining candidates are highly preferred, including those currently serving their notice period.
