Senior .Net Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior .Net Developer to join our team located in Singapore. The position involves designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications utilizing the .Net framework. Candidates should have a passion for producing clean, innovative code and thrive in a collaborative office environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET 8 and ASP.NET Core.
• Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and manage data access layers leveraging PostgreSQL through Npgsql and Entity Framework.
• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms including JWT bearer tokens, Windows/Negotiate authentication, and integrate LDAP/Active Directory services.
• Connect backend systems with third-party platforms such as IT service management tools and internal data APIs.
• Partner with frontend developers to establish clear API contracts for React/TypeScript applications.
• Containerize backend services using Docker and contribute to continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Produce unit and integration tests, conduct code reviews, and enforce high coding quality standards using tools like SonarQube.
• Address production issues across the software stack by applying structured logging with log4net and observability techniques.
• Participate in architectural planning for new service development and enhancement of existing systems.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience developing backend services in C# and .NET, preferably using ASP.NET Core.
• Deep understanding of REST API principles, authentication and authorization schemes, and secure coding methodologies.
• Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL or SQL Server and familiarity with ORMs like Entity Framework.
• Experience with Docker containerization and setting up or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git, and collaborative coding workflows.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, able to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, QA, and infrastructure specialists.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with full-stack development focusing on React and TypeScript frontends, including integrating APIs with user interfaces.
• Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts applicable to developer tools, e.g., integration of large language model APIs or AI-assisted coding.
• Automation skills using Python and/or Ansible Automation Platform for infrastructure scripting, compliance, or operational workflows.

Differentiators

• Practical experience integrating enterprise systems with LDAP, Active Directory, or similar identity providers.
• Background working in hybrid environments combining .NET services, Node/React frontends, and Python-based automation.
• Proven success in enhancing reliability, security, or maintainability of backend production systems.
