Senior Front-end Engineer/Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Front-end Engineer/Developer to join our innovative team based in Singapore. This role focuses on creating user-centered, high-quality web applications using modern front-end technologies. You will have a significant influence on user experience and contribute to delivering cutting-edge solutions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Analyze and align Figma component specifications—including anatomy, variants, states, and responsive behaviors—with the existing design system inventory. Facilitate a collaborative design-development kickoff to resolve outstanding queries before development.
• Translate Figma variables into code design tokens such as color, typography, spacing, and motion, ensuring accuracy through a token synchronization pipeline. Propose new semantic tokens to the design team instead of relying on hardcoded values.
• Develop components within the design system's codebase adhering to architectural standards, with a typed props API that reflects Figma property nomenclature and fully supports all variants and states.
• Incorporate accessibility standards and banking requirements from the outset, including WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, keyboard/screen-reader compatibility, adequate contrast, localization, right-to-left (RTL) support, and locale-specific formats for currency, date, and numbers.
• Utilize AI tools for code scaffolding, variant creation, test and documentation generation, and transformation of Figma specs into initial code drafts. Critically evaluate AI outputs while complying with banking AI usage and data policies.
• Maintain AI context files, engineering conventions, and reusable prompts to guarantee that AI-generated code maintains consistency with the design system.
• Create comprehensive testing suites, including unit, interaction, visual regression, and automated accessibility tests across different themes and breakpoints, supplemented by manual screen-reader verification.
• Conduct pixel-perfect review sessions with designers comparing Figma designs and Storybook renders side-by-side, iterating until fidelity in spacing, typography, color, and motion is achieved.
• Document components thoroughly in Storybook, covering stories for every state, usage recommendations co-developed with design, props API details, applied tokens, and migration instructions.
• Manage releases using governance workflows involving design sign-off, code review, semantic versioning, and changelogs. Publish components to internal registries, support adoption by teams, and gather usage insights to inform the design backlog.
