Job Location and Experience
This role is based in Bhosari, Pune and requires 4 to 5 years of pertinent mould design experience.
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Sr. Mould Designer proficient in Siemens NX to join our engineering team. The candidate will be accountable for designing and developing moulds that meet technical, quality, cost, and manufacturability standards. Collaborating with various teams, the role demands sharp technical insight and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop injection moulds and related tooling utilizing Siemens NX software.
- Create comprehensive 3D models, 2D drawings, and necessary design documentation.
- Analyze customer requirements for practical application in mould design.
- Ensure designs are manufacturable, maintainable, and production-friendly.
- Liaise with manufacturing, machining, quality control, and project teams through the design lifecycle.
- Perform design reviews and implement necessary revisions.
- Diagnose and resolve design-related challenges during development and production phases.
- Comply with technical standards and meet customer specifications.
- Assist with troubleshooting, enhancements, and engineering change processes.
- Maintain precise records and documentation for all designs.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, or related fields.
- 4 to 5 years of experience specifically in mould design.
- Expertise in Siemens NX software.
- Solid grasp of mould design fundamentals and manufacturing workflows.
- Knowledge of engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and design standards.
- Understanding of machining, tooling, and production processes.
- Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving aptitudes.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
