Senior MDM Solutions Architect

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Master Data Management (MDM) Solutions Architect to design and implement a comprehensive enterprise MDM program focused on customer and product data domains. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively balance high-level architecture design with hands-on technical guidance to offshore engineering teams, fostering the development of a reliable, scalable data foundation.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Define and lead the overall MDM solution architecture for enterprise-level initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to offshore engineers responsible for building data pipelines, crafting data models, and creating the underlying match/merge and golden record logic.
• Partner closely with teams to develop clean, trusted, and scalable master data solutions.

Required Experience and Skills

• Proven experience in roles such as Solution Architect, Data Architect, MDM Architect, or senior technical lead focusing on enterprise data or MDM programs.
• Deep understanding of MDM principles including match/merge processes, survivorship rules, golden record creation, identity resolution, hierarchy management, data stewardship, and governance workflows.
• Strong expertise in data modeling techniques such as entity-relationship, relational, dimensional, and hierarchy-based models, with demonstrated ability to develop customer, party, or master data models from inception.
• Hands-on proficiency with SQL for designing and implementing data models, business rules, match/merge logic, and survivorship frameworks within data warehouse-native platforms.
• Practical experience using Snowflake and working with modern data architectures structured around RAW/STAGED/CURATED or Bronze/Silver/Gold data layers.
• Extensive experience in architecting enterprise data solutions and creating MDM frameworks beyond just configuring commercial MDM products.
• Skill in data profiling, enforcing data quality standards, deduplication strategies, reconciliation methods, exception handling, and overseeing data governance processes.
• Experience integrating SAP source systems, particularly with customer, material, vendor, or product master data.
• Proficiency in Python or equivalent data engineering languages supporting large-scale enterprise data platforms.
