Job description
Role Overview
The Senior Manager for Security Planning oversees and directs security strategies and programs within the Master Developer portfolio, specifically focusing on City Security Planning and collaboration with the Place Planning and Design team. This leader works closely with various stakeholders to implement Qiddiya City’s vision of an accessible yet secure environment recognized globally for its safety standards in the modern era.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security master planning across multiple districts, ensuring alignment with the overall city masterplan and balancing security needs with place-making objectives.
- Review the impact of security elements on place characteristics within the masterplan to maintain a coherent and secure urban design.
- Ensure the application and stewardship of Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) principles as the masterplan evolves.
- Drive innovative security solutions that integrate technology with strategically designed landscape and architectural features, including furniture, art installations, earth mounding, and water elements, all aligned with operational goals.
- Provide expert oversight and advisory support to development consultants and specialists delivering security outputs, such as built environment security consulting, risk assessments, policy formulation, and benchmarking activities.
- Enhance and maintain executive-level reporting tools including dashboards, trackers, and performance frameworks.
- Prepare presentation materials for governance and stakeholder groups such as Project Control Groups to facilitate effective communication and decision-making.
- Assist in developing and refining security policies, standards, and risk frameworks through thorough research and documentation.
- Optimize planning processes across multidisciplinary teams to promote efficiency and strategic alignment with Qiddiya’s objectives.
- Sustain and improve organizational tools that drive accountability and improve resource management.
- Lead efforts to broaden the advisory capabilities of the security planning team, positioning Qiddiya as a regional authority in this field.
Requirements and Qualifications
- At least five years of experience in security within the built environment, infrastructure projects, government sectors, or major developments in Saudi Arabia.
- Familiarity and proficiency with project collaboration and reporting tools such as Aconex, BIM360, SharePoint, and dashboard software.
- Proven capacity to operate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and manage interdependencies in large-scale projects.
- Experience providing strategic security advice to government entities and multinational organizations.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
