Role Summary

The Senior Manager will join PwC's Infrastructure Finance team within its global Infrastructure and Project Finance network. This role demands leading advisory engagements related to infrastructure development and financing, especially within sectors like power, utilities, renewables, social infrastructure, and transportation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advisory assignments involving feasibility assessments, business case preparation, and market evaluations for infrastructure projects.
  • Formulate procurement strategies and assess options for major capital undertakings.
  • Structure sophisticated commercial contracts and oversee collaboration among legal, financial, and technical experts.
  • Provide expert advice on governance, risk management, and project control frameworks.
  • Support procurement procedures, including bid preparation and evaluation.
  • Advise on implementation phases, spanning design to construction.
  • Drive business growth by responding to regional requests for proposals and industry engagement activities.
  • Enhance PwC's reputation via participation in conferences, industry publications, and networking.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members for skill and experience development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure delivery of superior client outcomes.

Candidate Profile

  • A decade to fifteen years of experience in infrastructure advisory, project development, or financing roles from perspectives of developers, consultants, or financial institutions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering required; MBA is an advantage.
  • Demonstrable expertise in project and construction management and procurement of large-scale capital projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure lifecycle stages and various contract models including DB, EPC, and DBFO.
  • Competence in drafting business plans coupled with financial and commercial analysis capabilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in Arabic highly valued.
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and lead cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30-40% of the time, often requiring overnight stays and working away from base office, while balancing business needs with personal circumstances.
