Senior Manager, Group Finance

The Senior Manager of Group Accounting & Reporting will be based in Dublin, Ireland, working primarily on-site with hybrid work options. The role involves managing group accounting processes under US GAAP and IFRS standards, offering technical accounting leadership across the finance functions and senior management teams at ICON, a NASDAQ-listed organization with over 1,000 finance professionals globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preparation of the group’s annual reports aligned to US GAAP and IFRS frameworks.
• Oversee quarterly financial disclosures to the stock exchange under US GAAP compliance.
• Compile monthly consolidated management information for internal stakeholders.
• Provide expert regulatory and accounting consultation on significant business matters under both US GAAP and IFRS standards.
• Evaluate and implement changes arising from new accounting policies or regulatory updates.
• Operate within and supervise adherence to a robust SOX control environment, promoting ongoing enhancements in the finance team.
• Partner with internal teams to refine and optimize both external financial reporting and internal systems.
• Collaborate with legal, tax, treasury, IT, and finance departments on strategic projects and group initiatives.
• Facilitate the financial integration of acquisition targets into ICON's group structure.
• Support statutory financial statement preparations and related audit activities.
• Mentor and develop junior members within the group accounting team.

Qualifications and Skills

• Qualified ACA or ACCA with at least five years of post-qualification experience.
• Extensive expertise in financial accounting and thorough knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS principles.
• Strong communication capabilities coupled with excellent organizational skills.
• Adaptability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
• Demonstrated ability to foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Proactive in identifying process improvements and adopting best practices.
• Confident decision-making skills paired with effective interpersonal abilities.
• Experience working in a multinational corporation within a group finance function.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Oracle is desirable.
