Senior Manager Business Operations

About the Role

We seek a proactive and hands-on Senior Manager for Business Operations to join a dynamic technology and services firm in Doha, Qatar. Reporting directly to the CEO, this position is responsible for translating strategic objectives into tangible business results through customer acquisition, proposals, partnerships, project oversight, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, engaging with clients to understand their needs, managing the commercial pipeline, preparing proposals, and facilitating successful deal closures.
• Oversee proposal and RFP processes by coordinating technical inputs, developing costings, bills of quantities, and commercial terms, establishing exclusions, delivery timelines, and payment schedules while managing project financials and margins.
• Manage operations and delivery by steering projects from initiation to completion, monitoring milestones, risks, assigning responsibilities, and handling scope adjustments. Collaborate with technical, project, and finance teams, support invoicing processes, collections, and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Develop and nurture partnerships with technology vendors, manufacturers, distributors, subcontractors, and referral partners to build a robust ecosystem.
• Support the implementation and management of business systems including CRM, ERP, accounting, procurement, inventory, and project management. Coordinate ERP/Odoo implementations and establish dashboards, reporting, and operational protocols.
• Assist the CEO by translating strategic goals into actionable plans, tracking decisions and actions, minimizing routine operational queries directed at the CEO, and appropriately escalating significant decisions and strategic matters.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience in areas such as technology or management consulting, digital transformation, IT and cybersecurity services, system integration, ELV and security solutions, B2B technology services, or within technology startups or scale-ups. Experience working in a service provider setting and personal involvement in the full commercial cycle (from client interaction to invoicing and collections) is highly desirable.

The candidate should be comfortable liaising with technical teams and capable of transforming technical capabilities into commercially practical solutions.

Location and Language Requirements

This position is based in Doha, Qatar, and candidates must be willing to relocate. Professional-level proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of French, Spanish, or Portuguese is advantageous.
