Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead transformative initiatives advancing our video personalization capabilities. This position involves crafting sophisticated algorithms and scalable systems, collaborating with diverse teams to enhance our personalization framework.

Location: Hybrid position based in our Toronto office.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and implement recommendation algorithms catering to a global viewer base.
• Perform in-depth analyses of algorithmic modules and systems to ensure optimal model efficiency and scalability across various regions and product categories.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain robust machine learning pipelines encompassing data acquisition, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment phases.
• Monitor and refine performance of live models to align with business objectives and deliver superior user experiences.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to understand requirements, set expectations, and deliver ML-driven enhancements that boost user engagement.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of three years’ industry experience developing production-grade machine learning solutions.
• Academic credentials including a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Practical expertise with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, especially for recommendation system development.
• Proficiency in end-to-end machine learning engineering involving data extraction, feature creation, model building, testing, and deployment.
• Strong grasp of statistical analysis principles including hypothesis testing, regression methods, and machine learning performance metrics.
• Capability to analyze both detailed components and holistic architecture within machine learning platforms.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range for this role in Toronto is CAD 143,600 to 205,200, with the offer calibrated to experience, education, skills, and location. Additional compensation includes eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentives.
