Role Summary
We seek a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with extensive applied data science and optimization expertise at scale. This role will lead our enterprise-wide machine learning strategy, focusing on practical execution and continuous enhancement.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and build enterprise-grade MLOps platforms covering data ingestion, feature pipelines, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring, establishing benchmarks for high-performance ML products.
- Deploy and maintain scalable, efficient machine learning models and solutions in production environments.
- Establish and uphold standards for full model lifecycle management including version control, monitoring, alerting, traceability, and ensuring low-latency, highly available inference systems.
- Enhance advanced data management techniques to optimize performance for extensive data volumes.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to teams on machine learning engineering best practices and deployment methodologies, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Address complex technical challenges and contribute strategically to organizational direction.
- Apply CI/CD standards and engage with evolving ML and MLOps innovations to keep the enterprise efficient and forward-looking.
- Implement safe deployment methods such as shadow testing, canary releases, and gradual rollouts.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or comparable professional experience.
- Proficiency in high-performance backend development technologies, with a preference for Golang.
- Significant experience in cloud-based and/or on-prem distributed systems, handling data-intensive applications and designing large-scale backend systems.
- Extensive knowledge in operationalizing machine learning, including familiarity with current tools, frameworks, and trends.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, capable of devising innovative solutions for advanced technical issues.
- Solid experience in software development, deployment, and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Passion for technology, learning, curiosity, and solving challenging problems.
