Overview
The Senior Learning Specialist is a subject matter expert focused on creating, refining, and delivering customized training programs for the Sales and Service division. This position plays a central role in developing skills across Sales and Service teams, including offshore locations, by ensuring training material is precise, engaging, and aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as SME to identify and design tailored learning solutions that meet the unique needs of Sales and Service personnel.
- Create and continuously update diverse training materials such as manuals, presentations, e-learning content, and job aids in collaboration with business experts.
- Conduct high-impact training workshops and coaching sessions for teams located in South Africa, Kawana, and North Lakes.
- Deliver dynamic, interactive learning experiences applying varied teaching methods to engage multiple learning styles and reinforce retention.
- Coordinate with Training and Capability Coordinator to organize logistics including scheduling and resource management for training events.
- Partner with the Senior Manager of Learning and Capability and key stakeholders to assess training needs, validate curricula and ensure alignment with strategic directives.
- Provide continuous learner support by addressing questions and reinforcing essential training topics.
- Assess training effectiveness through feedback, evaluations, and performance data, proposing enhancements as needed.
- Maintain updated knowledge of relevant processes, compliance standards, and products to ensure current training content.
- Keep accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and assessment outcomes.
- Promote an ongoing culture of learning and development within the Sales and Service division.
- Comply rigorously with corporate policies, procedures, and brand guidelines in all training materials and delivery.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- At least two years' experience in Sales and Service roles or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years in leadership or coaching positions.
- Proven ability to facilitate engaging learning experiences in both face-to-face and virtual formats.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and relationship building to identify and address learning needs.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively.
- Capable of managing workload autonomously, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to evolving requirements.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire for continuous personal and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or similar accreditation.
- Experience in the Banking, Finance, or Insurance sectors.
- Background supporting dynamic service operations environments.
