Opportunity Overview

The company seeks a seasoned Landscape Architect in Edmonton responsible for delivering comprehensive landscape architecture services. The role demands marketing awareness, client relations, business development, and collaboration with planning and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and execute landscape architecture designs, structural calculations, and cost projections for moderately to highly complex projects.
• Partner with senior architects and management on sophisticated designs, surveys, proposals, and client engagement efforts.
• Engage effectively with clients and team members to address design or construction challenges and provide practical solutions.
• Conduct site administration, establish technical guidelines, recommend materials, and oversee project implementation as necessary.
• Lead and provide technical expertise to multidisciplinary teams including other landscape architects, engineers, and technologists.
• Manage project timelines and resources ensuring delivery aligns with client expectations, budget, and schedule.
• Identify and analyze business opportunities, contribute to growth initiatives, and foster relationships with clients, partners, and regulatory agencies.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited institution.
• Full membership or eligibility for immediate full membership with AALA and/or CSLA.
• At least five years of professional landscape architecture experience based in Western Canada.
• A portfolio showcasing diversity in planning, design, implementation, and project management skills.
• Excellent proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written.
• Competent with computer software including CAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Photoshop.
• Proven success in client relations and generating new business.
• Preference for candidates with Landscape Architecture Registration Exam (LARE) completion and LEED accreditation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary range is CA$105,000 to CA$140,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Additional advantages include:
