We are seeking a Senior Java Developer adept at designing, developing, and maintaining backend services, APIs, and microservices within AWS cloud ecosystems. This role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, stakeholders, and delivery leads to effectively execute technology initiatives. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with a disciplined and accountable approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain Java-based microservices and REST/GraphQL APIs leveraging Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
- Create backend solutions that are scalable, secure, and performance-optimized.
- Integrate backend services with enterprise systems using MuleSoft and Okta for authentication and authorization.
- Manage deployments and operations of applications on AWS infrastructure including ECS, EC2, and RDS.
- Develop and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, AWS CodeCommit, and CodePipeline.
- Optimize database performance and queries using SQL/Oracle relational databases.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues with Grafana and AWS CloudWatch.
- Participate actively in production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and continual service improvements.
- Collaborate with architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Over 7 years of experience in Java backend development.
- Proficiency with Java 17 or higher and Spring Boot 3.x.
- Extensive experience developing Microservices and RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications on AWS platforms such as ECS, EC2, and RDS.
- Knowledge in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and AWS Code Commit/CodePipeline.
- Experience using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for cloud deployments.
- Strong expertise in SQL and Oracle databases.
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization frameworks, specifically Okta.
- Experience integrating APIs using MuleSoft.
- Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes containerization technologies is advantageous.
- Solid grasp of cloud security principles, monitoring strategies, and designing scalable software systems.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices.
- Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
