About the Role
We seek an experienced Java expert to design robust systems, challenge outdated approaches, and deliver production-level code that drives real results. This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in fast-paced environments, prioritize clean architecture, and plan for long-term scalability. The goal is to develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance Java applications supporting the company's core platforms, focusing on maintainable code, sound architecture, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain Java applications, APIs, and services.
- Develop and support scalable, secure backend systems with high availability.
- Enhance application performance, optimize memory use, and improve system throughput.
- Work closely with Product, QA, DevOps, and Data teams to deliver integrated solutions.
- Troubleshoot and improve existing applications and services.
- Participate in architectural design, establish coding standards, and promote engineering best practices.
- Keep current with new Java frameworks, tools, and industry developments.
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrable experience with Java 8 or newer in production settings.
- Proficient with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, or similar Java frameworks.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architectural principles.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architectures.
- Practical knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker), CI/CD processes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Experience operating in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
Preferred Expertise
- Background in microservices architecture and handling distributed systems.
- Knowledge of Hibernate, JPA, and other ORM technologies.
- Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Understanding multithreading, concurrency, and optimizing JVM performance.
- Familiarity with security protocols including OAuth, JWT, and authentication/authorization methods.
- Contributions to open-source Java projects or personal coding initiatives are a plus.
