Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior International PR Manager to independently lead and manage complex projects within our PR discipline. This role involves crafting and executing media strategies for the UK, Ireland, and other international markets, while maintaining a holistic view of content across multiple channels. The ideal candidate embraces a global mindset, thrives in intercultural settings, and eagerly adapts to diverse market trends and media landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute PR and communications strategies to boost brand visibility and thought leadership consistently across the UK, Ireland, and other markets.
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with financial and consumer media, especially within UK and Irish ecosystems, while exploring and mastering emerging international media markets.
- Frequently travel internationally to foster local media relations, agency collaborations, and stakeholder engagement.
- Produce creative, data-curated narratives and storytelling to engage existing media contacts and attract new ones with targeted campaigns.
- Create and disseminate well-crafted press releases, media pitches, scripts for video content, visual materials, and other tailored press resources for international audiences.
- Oversee and coordinate external PR agencies to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs and efficient use of budgets.
- Manage media coordination activities including briefings, interviews, and acting as a spokesperson when required.
- Develop and update an editorial calendar to align communication efforts consistently across channels.
- Monitor financial media trends and competitor activities to identify PR opportunities and proactively address reputation risks.
- Support team objectives by setting and tracking OKRs with attention to quality and collaboration, offering guidance and support across all levels of the organization.
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
- At least five years of professional experience in PR, either within an agency environment or an in-house communications team.
- A strong international outlook paired with intercultural competence and enthusiasm for global market dynamics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the UK and Irish media landscape with an existing network of journalists and financial commentators in these regions, plus a proactive approach to researching new international markets.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally for relationship-building and market support.
- Proven expertise in developing and deploying PR strategies that achieve measurable impact.
- Creative storytelling abilities with capability to produce compelling and innovative media narratives.
- Confident in developing varied content formats including press releases, social media posts, media pitches, briefing papers, and multimedia assets.
- Strong organizational skills to handle multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
- Results-oriented with a high sense of accountability and commitment to fostering a culture of excellence.
- Composure and effectiveness in high-pressure situations, including crisis communication.
- Native or professional fluency in English, both written and spoken, especially tailored to UK and Irish audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within fintech, financial services, banking, or high-growth tech companies.
- Practical skills in video editing and production of visual media.
- Hands-on experience in crisis communication and reputation risk management.
- Familiarity with AI-enhanced tools for communication, content creation, and video generation.
- Multilingual proficiency, especially in Polish, Spanish, or Dutch, valued for international engagement.
- Experience using PR and media monitoring tools and platforms.
