Senior Integration Specialist

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration Specialist with expertise in IBM Integration Bus (IIB) and IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) to join our team in Sydney. This contract position requires advanced technical skills in integration technologies, strong security and compliance knowledge, and excellent communication abilities within government environments.

Responsibilities and Technical Expertise

• Apply 7 to 10+ years of experience working with IBM IIB and IBM ACE platforms.
• Develop and maintain advanced ESQL scripts, message modeling, including handling XSD, JSON schemas, XML, and XSLT transformations.
• Integrate with IBM MQ infrastructures, including topics, queues, and clustered environments.
• Develop secure API integrations supporting REST and SOAP protocols.
• Interface integration between on-premises and cloud systems such as AWS, Azure, and Government Cloud solutions.
• Manage data integration with various databases, secure file transfers (SFTP), JDBC, and legacy systems including COBOL and host platforms.
• Utilize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools widely used in government sectors, including Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and GitHub Enterprise.
• Employ API Gateway technologies like IBM API Connect, Kong, or Apigee for API management.
• Work with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.

• Operate effectively in highly secure and regulated environments.
• Understand and apply comprehensive identity management, secrets handling, certificate management, and secure channel protocols.

Soft Skills and Leadership

• Communicate adeptly and engage with a variety of government stakeholders.
• Lead technical decision-making processes, conduct peer reviews, and deliver technical coaching to team members.
• Demonstrate a strong analytical approach and meticulous attention to detail for problem-solving.
