Senior Integration & API Developer – AWS, Python and AI Agents

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Integration & API Developer specializing in AWS, Python, and AI agents to join a partner company based in Saudi Arabia. This is a fully remote opportunity where you will focus on designing and implementing scalable APIs that connect various business systems, external platforms, and AI-driven applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance APIs to support business workflows, system integration, and AI-based applications.
• Establish and manage connections among internal systems, external services, Salesforce, RESTful APIs, and third-party platforms.
• Design and deploy AI agent integrations capable of interacting with APIs, databases, enterprise applications, and automating business workflows.
• Create AI-driven workflows using large language models (LLMs), AI agents, tool/function calls, and API integrations to enable complex multi-step processes.
• Engage directly with clients to gather business requirements and deliver practical technical solutions.
• Handle deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support for integration solutions hosted on AWS infrastructure.
• Optimize integration performance, ensure scalability and reliability, and resolve technical challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide mentorship to junior developers.

Qualifications and Skills

• More than 5 years of professional experience in software development.
• Expertise in designing, developing, and integrating APIs for complex enterprise systems.
• Practical experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, RDS, and SQS.
• Advanced Python programming skills applied to production-grade applications and integrations.
• Experience with AI technologies including large language models, AI agents that retrieve data, call APIs/tools, make decisions, and execute sequences of actions.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting distributed integration issues.
• Excellent communication skills for working with clients and translating business needs into technical deliverables.
• Experience in Salesforce system integrations is advantageous.
• Knowledge of event-driven systems including services like SQS and SNS is a plus.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform is beneficial.
