Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Implementation Engineer to lead and execute technical implementations of integrated airport and airline solutions spanning applications, networking, servers, infrastructure, security, virtualization, and cloud platforms. The role requires hands-on delivery supported by domain expertise in airports, customer collaboration, project awareness, and post-implementation support through transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute installation, configuration, integration, testing, and support for comprehensive airport and airline technology platforms covering applications, networks, servers, infrastructure, virtualization, security, and cloud environments.
- Interpret business, operational, and technical requirements into actionable implementation plans ensuring seamless integration with interrelated systems and services.
- Apply deep understanding of airport operational workflows to guide customers on effective product usage and advise on performance improvements enhancing operational efficiency.
- Lead all phases of the technical implementation lifecycle including requirements analysis, installation, configuration, testing, deployment readiness, go-live execution, and support transition.
- Manage customer go-live activities and provide ongoing support until handover completion, troubleshooting and resolving post-deployment defects or issues.
- Serve as the on-site technical and operational focal point for customers and represent project delivery teams when an on-site project manager is unavailable.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Delivery, Product, Support, project managers, and clients to monitor actions, dependencies, risks, and issues, escalating significant impacts accordingly.
- Monitor post-implementation solution performance, identify opportunities for technical or operational improvements, and coordinate with appropriate teams to address needs.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate technical documentation, configuration records, and handover materials following company policies and standards.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by incorporating lessons learned, refining implementation practices, and disseminating technical and functional knowledge among peers and customers.
Candidate Profile
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience delivering infrastructure platform implementations, application deployments, or integrated systems over multiple full project lifecycles.
- Direct experience in deploying technology solutions within airport environments with a solid grasp of airport and airline operations, workflows, and system interdependencies.
- Proficient with networks, Microsoft infrastructure, servers, applications, virtualization technologies, cloud infrastructure, and security, with practical exposure to Cisco and Palo Alto environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex technical and integration challenges across multiple teams.
- Knowledgeable in implementation governance including risk & issue management, change control, documentation, testing, and transition to support.
- Project-delivery aware with the capability to manage customer-facing activities in the absence of dedicated project management, without holding a formal project manager role.
- Customer-centric communicator capable of clearly explaining technical concepts, building trust, and maintaining professional relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Highly organized, accountable, with excellent planning and prioritization skills and a commitment to continuous process improvement.
- Holds a bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines.
- Works mainly standard business hours, splitting time roughly 50/50 between office and customer sites.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% mostly within the Middle East and Africa region.

- Certifications in project management or practical familiarity with formal project management methods.
- Technical certifications such as CCNA, Cisco, Microsoft, cloud, or security credentials are advantageous.
