Job description
Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Senior IBM App Connect Developer with over seven years of solid experience in integration design and support within banking and financial domains. The candidate should be proficient in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE), IBM Integration Bus (IIB), IBM MQ technologies, REST and SOAP APIs, alongside expertise in XML and JSON data formatting and transformation. Prior involvement in projects located in Saudi Arabia is a must.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build integration workflows utilizing IBM App Connect, ACE, or IIB platforms
- Integrate various systems including core banking, payments, financial applications, databases, and services
- Utilize IBM MQ and REST/SOAP web services to enable communication between systems
- Conduct data mapping and transformations primarily with XML and JSON formats
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues in integration flows
- Ensure the solutions are robust, secure, scalable, and reliable
- Engage across full software development lifecycle phases including development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical and integration documentation
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related disciplines
- At least 7 years of practical experience working on IBM App Connect, ACE, IIB, or WebSphere Message Broker products
- Hands-on experience on banking or financial sector integration projects
- Strong proficiency with IBM MQ, REST and SOAP APIs, XML, and JSON data formats
- Expertise in data mapping and transformation techniques
- Experience in projects deployed or operated in Saudi Arabia
- Understanding of Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority (SAMA) regulations and banking security standards
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with API Management platforms
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) for middleware environments
- Experience participating in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban team settings
