Senior HVAC Technician

Position Overview

The Senior HVAC Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), air quality control, and refrigeration systems. This role involves conducting daily inspections of the mechanical plant, managing property temperature, and monitoring energy and utilities consumption. Essential tasks include calibrating controls, gauges, and meters; assembling, installing, testing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and electronic wiring; and handling pipe assemblies and components like fittings and valves. The technician also performs routine maintenance of pools and spas.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections and upkeep of mechanical plant equipment
• Manage and regulate temperature within the property
• Monitor utility and energy usage and perform necessary adjustments
• Calibrate precision equipment such as meters and gauges
• Install, test, and repair electrical systems and electronic wiring
• Assemble and maintain plumbing assemblies including valves and fittings
• Carry out routine maintenance on pools and spas
• Adhere strictly to all company safety, security policies, and training requirements
• Report any hazards, maintenance issues, accidents, or injuries promptly
• Maintain cleanliness and professionalism in uniform and appearance
• Safeguard confidential information and company assets
• Uphold excellent guest service by welcoming and addressing guest needs professionally
• Demonstrate clear communication and positive collaboration with teammates
• Strive for continuous improvement in organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, cost savings, and safety
• Perform physically demanding duties such as reaching overhead, working in confined or elevated spaces, navigating uneven surfaces, stairways, and service ramps
• Lift, carry, and move objects potentially weighing over 100 pounds with assistance, or up to 50 pounds independently
• Fulfill other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors

Qualifications and Certifications

• Educational background from a technical, trade, or vocational institution
• Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in HVAC or related fields
• Required certifications include EPA Universal Certification, an HVAC certification, and a valid driver's license
• No prior supervisory experience required
