Job Overview
Asian Lifts And Escalator Private Limited is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior HR Manager based in Chennai to oversee all facets of the human resources functions. This full-time role requires managing recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, performance management, HR compliance, engagement initiatives, and HR policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the entire HR operations and administrative functions within the company.
- Oversee complete recruitment lifecycle, including manpower planning, candidate sourcing, and employee onboarding.
- Design and enforce effective HR policies, procedures, and workflows.
- Manage all employee lifecycle processes such as joining, confirmations, transfers, promotions, appraisals, resignations, and exits.
- Collaborate with the Accounts department to ensure accurate payroll processing including attendance, leave, loss of pay, PF, ESI, PT, and other statutory payroll activities.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory norms.
- Maintain precise and updated employee records, databases, and personnel files.
- Address employee grievances effectively to sustain positive workplace relations.
- Organize employee engagement, welfare programs, and team-building events.
- Monitor employee performance and manage appraisal and review cycles.
- Identify training needs and facilitate employee development programs.
- Prepare comprehensive HR management information system (MIS) reports for leadership.
- Coordinate with departmental heads regarding manpower planning and employee concerns.
- Supervise attendance, punctuality, leave management, and discipline as per organizational policies.
- Manage external HR service providers such as vendors, recruitment consultants, and insurance agencies.
- Assist senior management in development and implementation of organizational structures, compensation frameworks, and welfare initiatives.
- Ensure smooth operation of HRMS and payroll software systems.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong expertise in HR operations and generalist functions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of payroll processing, PF, ESI, PT, and related labour compliance.
- Proficiency in recruitment and talent acquisition strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with MS Excel, MS Office suite, and HRMS/payroll systems.
- Capability to independently manage multiple HR functions simultaneously.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Master's degree (MBA, PGDM, MSW) or Master's in Human Resources or related discipline.
Experience and Industry Preference
Applicants should have between 5 to 10 years of relevant HR experience. Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, elevator, or similar sectors is preferred. Candidates should have demonstrated hands-on experience managing comprehensive HR functions and be comfortable working collaboratively with senior leadership and department heads.
Additional Information
