Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tool Setter/Tool Grinder to join our machine shop team at our Camden, Arkansas facility. This role is critical for setting up and maintaining tooling for CNC machines, ensuring precision and product quality by interpreting engineering blueprints and specifications. You will collaborate closely with engineering, machine operators, and management to meet tooling requirements and maintain smooth production workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up tooling for CNC machines accurately according to specifications.
- Interpret detailed blueprints, sketches, and engineering documents.
- Utilize precision measuring tools to guarantee product quality and accuracy.
- Monitor and manage calibrated machine fixtures; ensure tooling inventories are maintained and reorder tools as necessary.
- Verify product quality adhering to statistical process control or other quality control procedures.
- Partner with engineering teams to develop and refine tooling requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a machine shop involving tooling, tool setting, and basic hand tool use.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively coordinate with engineering and production personnel.
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills
- Around 3 years of industry experience related to tooling, tool setting, and tooling procurement.
- Basic understanding of tool grinding processes.

- Compensation for this full-time position ranges between $37,700 and $69,900 annually, depending on experience, skills, and market factors.
