About the Role
Join Double Eleven's award-winning development team as a Senior Graphics Programmer in Middlesbrough, UK, delivering high-quality visual experiences on top gaming franchises. You will create and optimize advanced graphical features and work closely with partner teams to ensure excellence across multiple platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop rendering features and effects within a proprietary game engine to maintain high visual standards.
- Profile and optimize both C++ and GPU shader code to improve performance and remove bottlenecks.
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments and external partners, maintaining a positive, problem-solving mindset.
- Enhance asset pipelines, tools, and workflows through interdisciplinary teamwork.
- Engage in code reviews and mentor colleagues to spread graphics programming knowledge.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong expertise in C++ programming and shader development.
- Experience with modern graphics APIs such as DirectX 12 or Vulkan and interest in cross-platform capabilities.
- Proficiency with performance profiling tools like PIX, RenderDoc, or NSight.
- Thorough understanding of up-to-date rendering techniques including Physically Based Rendering (PBR), Global Illumination, Deferred Rendering, and real-time Ray Tracing.
- Preferred experience in system-level programming related to memory management and streaming for large-scale open-world games.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning of new graphics tools and rendering methods.
