Senior Full Stack Engineer (Mobile & Web)

About The Role

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer with over 6 years of experience, specifically proficient in architecting and delivering production-grade React Native applications. Expertise with the Expo ecosystem, including EAS, is essential. This position focuses primarily on mobile development where you will manage the entire lifecycle of our iOS and Android apps, covering architecture, performance optimization, release cycles, and app store management. Additionally, you will support our web front-end development using Angular and/or React as required. You will play a pivotal role within the engineering group and provide mentorship to fellow engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable and high-performance mobile applications using React Native and Expo, incorporating native modules or platform-specific code as needed.
• Manage the complete mobile release process, including EAS builds, over-the-air updates, compliance and submission to App Store and Google Play, version control, and deployment strategies including rollouts and rollbacks.
• Investigate and fix intricate native-layer issues such as performance bottlenecks, memory leaks, platform-specific bugs, and native module bridging for Android (Java) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C).
• Architect mobile app navigation, state management (using Redux, Zustand, Recoil, or similar), and overall design for maintainability and scalability.
• Establish and uphold mobile engineering standards encompassing testing methodologies, continuous integration and delivery pipelines, and rigorous code review processes.
• Embed analytics and monitoring tools like Amplitude, Sentry, and Google Analytics into the mobile applications to track user behavior and app health.
• Lead and coach engineering team members on mobile architecture, native debugging techniques, and best practices for app releases.
• Contribute to and maintain web frontends leveraging Angular and/or React.js, ensuring reusable component architecture aligned with design inputs.
• Assist in enhancing web frontend performance metrics such as Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse scores.
• Utilize Storybook for efficient design and product collaboration on UI components.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to deliver cohesive user experiences across mobile and web platforms.
• Work alongside Backend developers on API design and integration of third-party services.
• Implement thorough unit and integration testing coverage using suitable frameworks for both mobile and web.
• Participate actively in code quality assurance through code reviews spanning mobile and web codebases.
• Engage in agile development routines and contribute to the technical roadmap guiding mobile and frontend technologies.
• Keep abreast of and recommend adoption of emerging tools and trends in mobile and frontend development.

Required Qualifications

• At least 6 years of experience in mobile software engineering, including a minimum of 4 years hands-on with production React Native and Expo workflows, encompassing EAS build tools and OTA deployment.
• Proven responsibility for mobile app architecture, native module bridging, and managing app store submissions effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of mobile performance optimization, navigation structures, and state management frameworks such as Redux, Zustand, or Recoil.
• Proficiency in Angular or React.js for developing web interfaces.
• Solid command of JavaScript and TypeScript, including modern ECMAScript 6+ features.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines and mobile testing strategies.
• Familiarity with Firebase, GraphQL, or REST API integrations.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience mentoring development teams.
• Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum development models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in fintech or proptech sectors.
• Deep expertise in both Angular and React.js web development.
• Background in native iOS or Android programming using Swift/Objective-C or Kotlin/Java prior to React Native adoption.
• Experience working in startup or fast-paced product environments.
• Knowledge of server-side rendering (SSR) and single-page application (SPA) implementations on the web.
• Familiarity with additional programming languages or software frameworks.
