About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to join our Grow - Insights team. This team transforms raw data from over 70 million Linktree profiles into actionable insights for creators. The Insights team is responsible for analytics within the Linktree admin portal, an AI-powered insights chat tool, and integrating data from social platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram into a unified interface.
As a full-stack engineer, you will manage the entire flow of data: from event instrumentation capturing user interactions, through event ingestion and aggregation, exposure via our GraphQL API, to the user-facing surfaces that creators engage with. Collaboration with product, design, and data teams is key to determining valuable metrics to track. Your daily work will involve technologies including TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver analytics features helping creators analyze their audiences, including the Insights page and AI-driven insights chat.
- Take full ownership of metrics' journey: client event tracking, ingestion, aggregation, GraphQL API development, and the user interfaces that display data.
- Enhance social platform integrations to incorporate YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram performance analytics.
- Collaborate with product, design, and data teams to identify valuable metrics and prioritize technical implementation.
- Ensure accuracy and reliability of insight data through attribution, quality control, entitlement checks, and automated monitoring.
- Incorporate AI tools in the development process and product to assist creators in interpreting their data.
- Drive improvements in system reliability, performance, and observability, and mentor colleagues as the team expands.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 4 years of professional software engineering, preferably with experience on product teams focused on analytics or data.
- Strong full-stack expertise with TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), and AWS infrastructure, capable of delivering end-to-end features.
- Comfortable working with data technologies including SQL, data modeling, event schemas, and data warehouses like Snowflake or BigQuery.
- Experience designing and integrating APIs and third-party services, particularly with social or platform APIs.
- Proficient with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, including skill in prompting and refining AI outputs.
- Demonstrated product intuition for valuable metrics and ability to interpret data independently to guide decisions.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams distributed across multiple time zones.
