Senior Full Stack Developer

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to join a dynamic Irish technology company focused on building secure, AI-enhanced software solutions for international markets. This position involves playing a key role in the ongoing scaling and modernization of their platform, primarily working with Java, Spring, TypeScript, React, Angular, and AWS technologies. While extensive experience with every technology is not mandatory, strong commercial proficiency in Java and Spring is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend applications using Java and Spring frameworks.
• Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs across backend and frontend systems.
• Work with modern JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks like React and Angular.
• Build and maintain scalable cloud-based services within AWS.
• Continuously improve existing system architecture as the platform evolves.
• Manage relational databases and optimize overall application performance.
• Diagnose and resolve production issues effectively.
• Contribute to architectural and technical decision-making processes.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools in the engineering workflow.
• Participate in thorough code reviews and support peers in engineering teams.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, QA, and Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• At least 5 years of commercial software development experience with proven delivery of production applications.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring frameworks.
• Proficient with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or similar modern frameworks.
• Experience with TypeScript and/or JavaScript development.
• Skilled in designing and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
• Familiarity with Git version control and Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Strong debugging skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in production environments.
• Demonstrated ownership of features or technical challenges from inception through to production deployment.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual salary ranging from €70,000 to €80,000.
• 28 days of annual leave, increasing with length of service.
