About the Role and Company
AIVA Revolution is developing an AI-Powered Operating System tailored for the modern hospitality industry. Their platform combines guest engagement, employee intelligence, and operational workflows into a unified system designed to help hospitality businesses deliver excellent service efficiently and enhance overall performance.
This position is responsible for owning full-stack product engineering along with AI-driven capabilities, covering everything from front-end user interfaces to back-end services and AI feature production. The role involves close collaboration across Product, Engineering, and Customer Delivery teams within an AI-first, product-led environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and release dependable front-end applications, backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that work cohesively as a single product.
- Transform AI technologies into practical product features, including building and enhancing large language model (LLM) powered solutions that address challenges for guests, employees, and operational teams in hospitality.
- Implement AI workflows on AWS Bedrock that are secure, maintainable, and observable, utilizing foundational models, retrieval patterns, guardrails, and evaluation methods.
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Delivery teams to translate hospitality workflows into technical solutions and measurable product enhancements.
- Manage the entire production lifecycle from technical discovery and architecture through to implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing improvements.
- Ensure platform design supports trust, scalability, data protection, performance, cost management, and resilient service delivery for multiple customers.
- Enhance engineering quality by improving code review processes, automated testing, documentation, deployment best practices, and pragmatic technical standards.
- Provide technical leadership by making sound architectural decisions, reducing complexity, and mentoring colleagues.
Initial 90-Day Plan
- Days 1-30: Engage in comprehensive onboarding to understand the product, platform, hospitality industry context, architecture, AI services, customer priorities, and first ownership area.
- Days 31-60: Deliver impactful production work spanning the full stack, contribute to AI or LLM capabilities, strengthen testing and observability, and recommend workflow improvements.
- Days 61-90: Assume full ownership of a product or platform segment, implement end-to-end enhancements, document approaches, and establish repeatable engineering practices for future development.
Success Indicators
- Consistent creation of well-designed, maintainable, and tested production software with reliable full-stack responsibility.
- Delivery of useful AI functionalities emphasizing evaluation, monitoring, security, and cost-awareness.
- Ensuring platform performance, resilience, observability, and minimization of technical risks.
- Strong collaboration across teams contributing to code quality, documentation, development velocity, release confidence, and technical leadership.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of five years’ experience in commercial software engineering, particularly in building and maintaining production web applications.
- Full-stack expertise with Angular for front-end and experience developing secure, scalable backend services and APIs.
- Proven experience delivering AI or LLM-powered features within production business applications, with emphasis on quality, reliability, and responsible deployment.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including Amazon Bedrock and Lambda.
- Proficiency in PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, covering data modeling, performance tuning, and data integrity.
- Strong engineering practices in areas such as API development, authentication, integrations, version control, automated testing, code review, CI/CD pipelines, security, and technical documentation.
- Ability to handle ambiguous problems, make sound technical decisions, and oversee projects from definition through production deployment.
- Regular use of AI-assisted development tools as part of standard engineering workflows.
- Excellent organizational skills, a strong sense of ownership, and maturity necessary to organize work within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English at native or professional proficiency level, with clear communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desired Additional Skills
- Experience in hospitality technology platforms such as PMS, CRS, CRM, guest engagement, booking, or revenue management systems, especially Oracle OPERA or OPERA Cloud.
- Previous involvement in building or scaling engineering teams or technical functions while maintaining hands-on contributions.
- Advanced knowledge in AI implementations involving multiple models, retrieval and knowledge management, agent workflows, evaluation, and monitoring techniques.
- Experience working with multi-tenant SaaS products that include communications, workflow automation, analytics, or payment processing.
Work Environment and Benefits
- Fully remote work opportunity anywhere within the United Kingdom; preference for candidates based in Scotland.
- Salary up to £60,000 depending on experience.
- Chance to develop an intelligent platform addressing authentic challenges in the hospitality domain.
- Significant ownership in product, platform, and AI engineering with influence over technical decisions, engineering standards, and career progression.
