Role Overview

The Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer will play a key role in addressing critical customer challenges by building and deploying software that harnesses our physics AI models. Working directly with clients, data scientists, and machine learning engineers, you will design applications that transform advanced engineering methodologies. An understanding of diverse engineering challenges and the ability to create innovative solutions are essential.

Daily Responsibilities

• Engage with interdisciplinary teams including ML engineers and data scientists to deliver physics models in ways that generate significant customer value.
• Collaborate with UX designers and frontend developers to tailor user experiences that meet customer expectations.
• Lead end-to-end application design and prototype development, iterating rapidly based on user feedback.
• Develop and maintain backend services using Python, including RESTful APIs with FastAPI, and deploy microservices to cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure using Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform.
• Contribute to the evolution of the core PhysicsX platform by simplifying complex solutions and introducing new features aligned with customer needs.

• Strong software development experience including API design and production deployment.
• Mechanical engineering background or related technical expertise is advantageous.
