Role Overview

The Principal Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer position seeks an accomplished problem solver and technical leader passionate about delivering practical AI solutions that empower engineers to make superior design and operational decisions. This role demands a deep understanding of advanced engineering principles, cross-industry knowledge, hands-on experience with data-driven modeling, deep learning including probabilistic and predictive techniques, and strong Python programming skills. The candidate will play a pivotal role in driving technical initiatives and collaborating directly with customers, often working side-by-side at client sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead preprocessing and analysis of intricate datasets to enable predictive modeling, establishing standards and best practices for the team.
• Design and develop sophisticated deep learning models combined with novel optimization methods to predict and manage physical system behaviors.
• Ensure the quality, precision, and impact of both individual and team outputs, owning overall accountability.
• Construct and validate data pipelines that are reliable, scalable, and straightforward to deploy in production environments.
• Collaborate with simulation engineers to guarantee smooth integration of data science models with simulation tools.
• Drive internal research and product innovation, refining models and exploring new application domains.
• Mentor junior colleagues and provide them with technical guidance to foster their professional growth.
• Facilitate open communication and knowledge sharing by conducting presentations for technical teams and customers, aiding user onboarding and joint development.
• Act as a technical ambassador, traveling approximately 2-3 weeks each quarter across regions including North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania to engage closely with clients on-site.
