Key Responsibilities

  • Manage leasing activities including prospecting new tenants and renewing short-term license agreements and long-term leases as identified by management.
  • Contribute to creating, executing, and refining marketing strategies to attract and retain tenants.
  • Handle lease documentation administration and ensure proper contract compliance.
  • Issue contractual notices related to tenancy expirations upon landlord instructions.
  • Facilitate tenant move-ins and oversee security deposit transactions per tenancy agreements.
  • Assist with legal lease documentation regarding new tenancies, renewals, and early terminations.
  • Support landlord-led negotiations concerning tenant compensation for early lease terminations.
  • Update tenancy schedules and prepare budgets for landlord approvals.
  • Monitor tenant rental payments, taking action to recover overdue amounts when necessary.
  • Assist Center Manager in negotiating lease terms, tracking expiry dates, and preparing retail plans and forecasts for lease renewals, market reviews, vacancies, and key tenants.
  • Respond to tenancy-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular market and competitor analyses to inform strategic decisions.
  • Lead marketing sales calls, site tours, and presentations to prospective tenants.
  • Maintain effective tenant relations through frequent contact, resolving requests, and organizing customer care programs and events.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Business, Real Estate, or related fields.
  • Have at least two years of relevant experience, preferably in commercial or retail specialty leasing.
  • Be willing and able to obtain the CEA salesperson’s license promptly if not already held.
  • Exhibit strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Show excellent interpersonal abilities to engage with landlords, tenants, and colleagues across levels.
  • Maintain a solid network and database of retail tenant prospects.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
