Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the London-based Global Tax engineering team, focusing on advancing a critical and high-revenue product segment. This leadership role encompasses hands-on technical guidance, team-building, and driving the platform essential for Rippling’s global expansion into multiple countries.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain daily workflows that foster a highly productive and efficient development team.
• Define strategic directions, anticipate challenges related to scaling, and create measurable action plans.
• Collaborate closely with sales, product management, customer support, and operations to influence product development.

Qualifications and Experience

• More than 10 years of experience in software development and delivery, with substantial expertise in software architecture design.
• At least 4 years serving as an Engineering Manager overseeing small to medium-sized engineering teams.
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent relevant discipline.
• Demonstrated programming proficiency and a commitment to improving code structure for better testability and maintainability.
• Strong project management capabilities combined with a proactive, customer-focused approach to product ownership and problem-solving.
• Experience with Python, Django, MongoDB, React, and AWS is advantageous.
