Senior Engineer - Purchase (Capex/Opex/Consumables/Indirect)

Job Overview

We are seeking a Senior Engineer for Purchase to manage procurement activities related to Capex, Opex, consumables, and indirect materials within a manufacturing setting based in Faridabad. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of materials, technical specifications, and vendor management to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement of operational expenditures (Opex) and capital expenditures (Capex).
• Oversee purchasing related to civil works and service contracts.
• Handle procurement of consumables and indirect materials efficiently.
• Conduct vendor audits to ensure supplier compliance and quality.
• Lead negotiations with vendors to achieve cost-effective procurement.
• Perform cost comparisons and techno-commercial evaluations for AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and other service agreements.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Strong knowledge of material properties, standards, and specifications including ASTM and ISO standards.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as machining, casting, forging, fabrication, as well as electrical, mechanical, and civil components.
• Understanding of procurement related to Opex, Capex, and indirect materials in manufacturing.
• Ability to conduct technical and commercial comparisons and vendor assessments.
