Job description
About the Role
We seek a seasoned Senior Electrician with 5 to 10 years of expertise to independently manage electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and preventive upkeep of electrical systems at various company facilities including stores, offices, warehouses, and manufacturing units.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Diagnose faults in low tension panels, distribution boards, motor control centers, MCBs, contactors, relays, and control circuits.
- Perform wiring, cabling, installation work, and modifications to electrical setups.
- Maintain lighting, power supply equipment such as sockets and switches, and related electrical fixtures.
- Oversee operation and troubleshooting of DG sets, UPS systems, transformers, and stabilizers as required.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical panels, cables, earthing, and safety installations.
- Respond promptly to emergency electrical breakdowns to restore operations.
- Supervise and assign daily tasks to electricians and helpers.
- Coordinate activities with external contractors and service providers.
- Keep detailed records of electrical breakdowns, maintenance activities, and electricity usage.
- Ensure electrical safety compliance and proper earthing throughout company installations.
- Identify and mitigate potential electrical hazards proactively.
- Manage inventory of electrical spares and consumables.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and electrical safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- ITI certification in Electrician or Electrical trade is mandatory.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering is advantageous.
- Possession of valid electrical licenses or certificates is preferred.
- Extensive experience (5-10 years) in electrical maintenance, preferably within retail, commercial buildings, warehouses, or factories.
Skills & Competencies
- Proven ability in electrical fault diagnosis and maintenance.
- Strong familiarity with electrical panels, motors, generators, UPS, lighting, and wiring systems.
- Competency in reading and interpreting electrical blueprints and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving capacity and fault detection skills.
- Leadership skills for supervising junior electricians and helpers.
- Good physical fitness with willingness to travel to multiple company locations as needed.
- High discipline with a strong emphasis on safety and responsibility.
