Role Overview

We are searching for an experienced Electrical Estimator who combines strong technical knowledge with a commercially focused mindset. This role offers the chance to not only enhance project execution but also actively support business growth as the HV and electrical infrastructure portfolio expands.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise and comprehensive electrical and instrumentation cost estimates for projects in industrial, utilities, and infrastructure domains.
• Manage the entire tender process including quantity take-offs, cost calculations, subcontractor coordination, risk assessments, and bid preparation.
• Identify and engage new business opportunities in specified markets.
• Establish and nurture client relationships to enable repeat business and negotiated contracts.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to define project scope, risks, and pricing approaches.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, engineers, and senior leadership from bid through project handover.
• Act as a Genus representative in client meetings, pre-tender sessions, and industry events.
• Provide commercial insights that aid in shaping the long-term business pipeline and market strategy.

Candidate Requirements

• Between 5 to 10+ years of experience in Electrical Estimating, with senior-level roles preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical and industrial construction, particularly within utilities, power, mining, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
• Proficiency in estimating software; experience with WINEST is highly advantageous.
• Educational qualifications in Leadership, Management, Project Management, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or Quantity Surveying.
• Direct experience in business development or client engagement within electrical or industrial contracting environments.
• Strong commercial insight paired with analytical skills.
• Confidence in delivering presentations to clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to handle multiple tender submissions within strict deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail with a dedicated approach to safety and quality.
• Legal entitlement to work in Australia.
