Role Overview

This senior position is suited for an accomplished Electrical Engineer seeking to influence project outcomes and take ownership of technical design solutions. The role involves delivering high-quality electrical engineering designs, mentoring junior staff, contributing to project strategy, and managing projects from concept to completion within a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical excellence in electrical services design.
• Oversee projects throughout the entire design lifecycle, including construction and practical completion phases.
• Conduct thorough Quality Assurance reviews of electrical deliverables aligned with company policies.
• Certify designs and provide official sign-off such as Form 15 endorsement.
• Engage professionally with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Prepare fee proposals and participate in project bid submissions.
• Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary design teams, mentoring junior and graduate engineers.
• Supervise graduate engineers assisting on projects under your guidance.
• Attend site inspections, meetings, and industry events as a representative of Lucid.
• Create, review, and contribute to technical reports, meeting documentation, and related communications.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess an Australian-recognized engineering degree or equivalent trade qualification.
• Hold relevant national or regional registrations, e.g., CPEng, NER, RPEQ, or QBCC Designer Licence.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and robust engineering judgement.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferably an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards, regulations, and the National Construction Code (NCC).
• Proficient with engineering modelling software, including Revit.
• Bring varied experience from a range of project types and environments.
• Show capability to independently manage discipline-specific scope on projects.
• Lead entire projects from design phases through construction and completion.
• Maintain high standards in accuracy, organisation, professionalism, and presentation.
• Commit to continual personal and professional growth, enhancing consulting skills.
