Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Join Lucid Consulting Australia in our Sydney office as a Senior Electrical Engineer where you will lead and deliver advanced electrical design solutions for a variety of complex projects including commercial, healthcare, educational, defence, and major infrastructure sectors. You will be part of a multidisciplinary national team collaborating closely with project leaders and clients to achieve design excellence and introduce innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design projects with a strong focus on technical quality and precision.
• Manage projects comprehensively from initial concept through detailed design to final delivery.
• Ensure design certification and quality assurance comply with Lucid’s internal standards and policies.
• Work collaboratively with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure high-standard project results.
• Mentor and support junior and graduate engineers contributing to team growth.
• Develop strong client, contractor, and project partner relationships to foster ongoing collaboration.
• Prepare fee proposals and participate in identifying and securing new business opportunities.
• Represent Lucid at site visits, meetings, and industry events, promoting the firm’s presence.

Requirements

• Australian-recognized degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent trade qualification.
• Professional accreditation such as CPEng, NER, RPEQ, QBCC Designer’s Licence, or eligibility to obtain one.
• Extensive knowledge of Australian Standards, the NCC, and applicable industry codes.
• Proficiency with engineering and design software, particularly Revit.
• Demonstrated capability to oversee electrical projects through all phases of design and delivery.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with aptitude for team collaboration.
• Passion for technical accuracy, teamwork, and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
