Role Overview

We invite applications for the role of Senior Electrical Engineer to join our expanding Buildings division located in Riyadh. This position involves working on an extensive variety of building and infrastructural projects within public and private sectors, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative and sustainable solutions.

In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the technical delivery of electrical engineering projects related to building services. You will assist project managers and senior engineers throughout design and completion stages, liaising with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, while enhancing your expertise and project leadership skills.

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Electrical Building Services designs for diverse building and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports, perform design calculations, create specifications, and maintain engineering documentation.
• Create and evaluate electrical design drawings, ensuring seamless coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
• Conduct assessments of existing electrical installations and propose refurbishment or upgrade strategies.
• Support the development of energy-efficient and sustainable electrical engineering solutions.
• Contribute to project execution aligned with budget, schedule, and quality standards.
• Engage effectively with clients, contractors, architects, and allied engineering disciplines.
• Assist project managers and technical leads with design coordination and technical review processes.
• Participate in the preparation of financial proposals and technical inputs for project tenders when required.
• Provide mentorship and support to graduate and junior engineers, fostering knowledge sharing within the team.
• Promote continuous improvement and digital innovation in workflows, sharing lessons learned.

Candidate Profile

Essential:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering (Electrical), or related fields.
• Membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
• Working towards or recently obtained Chartered Engineer (CEng) status; membership of CIBSE, IET, or equivalent professional institutions is expected.
• Proven track record in delivering Electrical Building Services in consultancy or engineering firms.
• Solid understanding of relevant building regulations, codes, standards, and best practice within construction environments.
• Proficiency with engineering software including Amtech, IES, Relux, and Revit.
• Familiarity with BIM and experience in working within integrated design environments.
• Excellent interpersonal, report writing, and stakeholder management abilities.

Desirable:

• Experience on projects related to commercial, hospitality, educational, residential, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
• Background in supporting multidisciplinary project teams.
• Understanding of sustainable design methodologies and energy-efficient building electrical systems.
• Previous experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or the broader Middle East region.
