Overview
Mulya Technologies is looking for a Senior Director or Director in Analog Design based in Bengaluru. The ideal candidate should bring over 14 years of industry experience, demonstrating hands-on expertise in analog and mixed-signal IC design including architectural development, circuit design, simulation, verification, and silicon bring-up. This role entails not only steering the design team technically but also mentoring senior engineers and establishing streamlined analog design processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the Analog and Mixed-Signal Design division, providing technical guidance across various projects.
- Manage analog design programs from defining specifications to silicon validation, including architecture, circuit design, simulations, layout collaboration, verification, and tape-out.
- Make architectural and design choices focused on high-performance analog and mixed-signal components.
- Offer technical leadership in diverse domains such as ADC/DAC data converters, PLLs/DLLs and clocking circuitry, bandgap references, LDOs, power management, amplifiers, SerDes/high-speed I/O analog blocks, sensor interfaces, analog front-end, and mixed-signal interfaces.
- Review circuit architectures, schematics, simulation outcomes, and ensure adherence to advanced design methodologies.
- Conduct analyses including PVT (Process, Voltage, Temperature), Monte Carlo, mismatch, noise, stability, reliability, and corner case evaluations.
- Collaborate extensively with related teams such as Analog Layout, Physical Design, RTL, Digital Verification, DFT, STA, and System Integration to ensure smooth SoC integration.
- Lead technical reviews, design finalizations, and evaluate risks throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure design quality, punctual schedule achievements, successful tape-outs, and silicon bring-up.
- Continuously enhance analog design methodologies, workflows, and best practices.
- Mentor senior engineers, technical leads, and architects, fostering professional growth and skill advancement.
- Build and grow a high-efficiency analog design team.
- Engage directly with customers, delivering technical presentations, participating in project planning, and defining solutions.
- Support business development activities by contributing technical inputs for proposals, estimates, and new client interactions.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks at early stages.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies in analog, mixed-signal, semiconductor, and advanced process nodes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 14 years experience in Analog or Mixed-Signal IC design.
- Expertise in CMOS analog circuit design and semiconductor device knowledge.
- Proven leadership in managing analog design teams and large-scale chip development initiatives.
- In-depth understanding of analog circuit architectures, transistor-level design, as well as simulation and verification techniques.
- Proficient in industry-standard analog design tools including Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre/SpectreRF, and ADE, along with Calibre or equivalent verification suites.
- Strong competency in SPICE simulations and comprehensive circuit analysis.
- Experience with advanced or FinFET semiconductor process technologies is advantageous.
- Knowledgeable about analog layout principles and interplay between circuit design and layout.
- Hands-on experience in silicon validation, debugging, characterization, and post-silicon analysis.
- Strong grasp of analog design basics such as noise, mismatch, stability, device modeling, parasitic effects, PVT variation, and reliability.
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary teams and interacting with global customers.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation, and leadership abilities.
Leadership Expectations
- Proven ability to establish and lead strong analog engineering units.
- Capability to combine strategic oversight with hands-on technical involvement.
- Strong ownership and accountability for technical project delivery.
- Influential in architectural and design choices across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Effective stakeholder and customer relationship management skills.
- Mentoring skills for developing senior technical staff into future leaders.
- Skillful management of multiple projects, competing priorities, and customer deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications
