About the Role
We are collaborating with a respected technology firm based in Munich, Germany, seeking a seasoned Senior DevOps Engineer to architect, enhance, and scale their cloud infrastructure. This predominantly hands-on position involves direct responsibility for infrastructure architecture, automation, and platform reliability, utilizing AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and continuously advance cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS.
- Oversee and expand Kubernetes environments ensuring scalability and robustness.
- Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Helm.
- Construct and optimize Continuous Integration and Delivery pipelines leveraging GitHub Actions.
- Automate deployment and related infrastructure workflows efficiently.
- Collaborate closely with software engineering teams on infrastructure and architectural decisions.
- Enhance the platform’s reliability, scalability, and overall performance metrics.
- Implement comprehensive logging, monitoring, and tracing tools.
- Lead the adoption of DevOps best practices and infrastructure engineering methodologies.
- Assess and integrate innovative technologies including AI-assisted engineering solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Multiple years of professional experience in DevOps, Cloud, or Platform Engineering roles.
- Proven hands-on expertise in AWS cloud services.
- Strong operational experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and Docker.
- Proficiency in establishing and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Advanced understanding of Infrastructure as Code principles and automation techniques.
- Familiarity with modern distributed system architectures and cloud-native design.
- Solid knowledge of infrastructure security, reliability, and optimization practices.
- Capable of taking initiative and ownership in technical and architectural challenges.
- German language proficiency at minimum B2 level.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with Helm charts.
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions workflows.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog or Prometheus.
- Hands-on experience with AWS components such as EKS, ECR, EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda.
- Experience managing message brokers like RabbitMQ or Redis.
- Engagement with AI-driven tools or coding agents in engineering processes.
